Thank you for this information. I found it most helpful. We are travelling from Avignon to London in Sept 2010 & we noted there is a TGV leaving at 6.29 am & goes via Lille & then onto London. It arrives at st Pancras (Kings Cross) at 12.33 pm & we need to get to Heathrow (by train) by 2.00pm checkin as our flight for LA leaves at 4.00pm...Here are my queries-
*does the TGV always run on time?
*or are we being too unrealistic assuming we can do the whole journey in the one day?
* I guess it is essential to pre-book the TGV trip?
*are there hotels near the Avignon TGV railway station where it's a quick walk as the shuttle from the city only starts at 5.45 am every morning & I would be concerned that we wouldn't make it to our 6.29 departure?
Thanks very much for any suggestions or advice you can give us
regards
