Hotels in Brittany

hotels in brittany
Brittany is a delight, in some ways very French and in others, like another country altogether. It’s not ideal for a day trip from Paris, but it’s great for a weekend away and ideal for road trips. Below are my hotel picks for the top towns in Brittany, but before that we’ve got some helpful links for planning your super-cool trip to exotic Brittany!

Brest: Kyriad Brest Centre

And by “Centre,” they mean smack in the middle of the city center, within walking distance of everything. And it’s got WiFi and a nice night porter. Sorted!

Quimper: Hotel Gradlon

I’ve stayed here, it was adorable. The room was great, overlooking the sunny courtyard where breakfast is served. Note that the WiFi code is by room numbers, usable on only one device, but they’ll give you a code to use in the comfy indoor lounge area.

Lorient: Hotel Escale Oceania

Free WiFi, private parking for you road trippers, and weekend deals from €69.

Saint-Malo: Hotel du Louvre

This hotel is in the old city beyond the ramparts, so it’s ideally located and just a walk along the quai to the walled city itself. And it’s got free WiFi and paid private parking.

Rennes: Angelina Hotel

Cute hotel, simple but clean rooms, free WiFi, and single rooms are from €48 with their own bathrooms.

Dinan: Hotel Ibis

Aw, come on, you knew I had to put an Ibis on my hotel list. So you know the drill: Great breakfast, free WiFi, clean as a whistle, excellent service at the desk.

Nantes: Grand Hotel de Nantes

Free WiFi, 24-hour bilingual staff, spacious rooms, decent rates. And it’s smack in the city center.

Vannes: Best Western Plus Vannes Centre

Truth be told, there are some crappy hotels in Vannes. I’d go with a cut above at the Best Western, which as a chain hotel has the amenities you’re looking for.
